Students who are offered a place for full-time graduate studies at the University of Waikato and who are selected as beneficiaries of the Loan-Scholarship Program of COLFUTURO will be eligible or considered for the shared financing under this agreement.
The University of Waikato will provide a scholarship of 30 % off of the fees to Master's students including Masters by Coursework and Masters of Philosophy and 100 % off of tuition fees for all PhD students. Students progressing from Masters of Philosophy to PhD will receive the 30 % scholarship while enrolled in the MPhil programme. Once they have successfully transferred to the PhD program, they will receive the 100 % scholarship. All students must study in New Zealand with the University of Waikato. For PhD students the 100 % discount on tuition fees is awarded to those students who meet the criteria for domestic fee status.
The University of Waikato will offer this financial support for Master's students for a period of up to 1.5 years and for PhD students for a maximum of 4 years
